Wish us all the luck

Today's choice of coffee is breve with a side of chocolate chip scone. I know myself well.
Day one of true potty training and all the resolve to not turn back. I've read exactly one blog post on the subject because I believe in being fully unprepared and uneducated when it comes to motherhood. We're just going to go with it. Four pairs of underwear down, two left till we're completely out. Thankfully marshmallows are in bountiful supply. I'm a true believer in positive reinforcement.

I'm also a believer in subliminal messaging - and blatant messaging...mainly blatant messaging. That lovely lime greenness is following her wherever she plays.

So far my 15 minute timer method is exactly 7.5 minutes off from her little bladder schedule. "OH NO!"'s have been plentiful this morning. All in all it will just be a bad day right? Maybe a bad week? Like I said, diapers aren't welcome back, so a battle of the wills it will be. I'm sure 4 days in she'll be calling my bluff much like she called my bluff of eating cookies for breakfast.

Scones. They're called scones. And we'll be back, checking in, winning or losing - I'll be sure to let you know.

  1. How many cases of wine would you like to have shipped? Will three be enough? :o)

But truly, over-reading is over-rated. Go, Rori, go! (in that pretty green potty, of course)

    1. Haha - a true friend, Carrie. I'll take four bags of chocolate along with the wine. :)

  2. Are you still going to do pull ups at night? When we did potty training, Pen slipped in her "accident" on the tile floor and hit her head really hard. Not that I recommend that... but it worked really well :) She didn't want to have any more accidents after that, haha. Poor girl.

    1. Poor Pen! I wouldn't have wanted another accident either! And yes, I'm having her still wear diapers at night until I know she "knows" when she has to go. Once she has it down during the day, I think I'll take the diapers away at nap time and at night. What did you do with Pen?
