Five months and a baby later......

So five months later and living a completely different life I've finally decided I ( and maybe we ) should jump back on this blog bandwagon. Sorry for the absence. It was very much due to a lack of heart - wishing that all the events that were unfolding really weren't happening. And now I greatly wish we had been blogging through it all. Now where to start.....

Perhaps with the happiest of news - our beautiful baby girl was born two months ago! We couldn't be more in love with her. Miss Aurora Elise Meagher or Rori as most of us prefer to call her:

She has been so fun and I've loved staying home with her everyday. Her little personality has begun to pop up in places. We think she's going to be pretty out going and social - she isn't needy, but she definitely always wants to know that someone is around and she LOVES whenever we talk to her. And she also seems to be quite strong willed :). And of course we think she's extra smart, strong, and beautiful - but don't all parents?

As for the other details of our lives......

We're living in Michigan and have been since November. We found a small apartment the week before Rori was born and are now enjoying our small new home. It sits a mile from church and a mile from Brian's parents so it's perfect! We actually just decided as of yesterday that we needed to make it feel like a home (once again) and after unpacking a few boxes and a trip to Ikea to fill in the holes we are on our way to building another cozy place for ourselves (Only to soon move again I'm sure).
Brian is still job searching. Currently he is working, but it's far from what he would want to be doing and not even close to a career choice, so we're still looking.
In the mean time we're just waiting and very much enjoying being surrounded with community once again. It's been a huge blessing for both of us. And while we feel like our life is sitting in a time out, it's been pretty incredible to see how God has provided and taken care of us. He is so good and we are excited for what's next whenever that might come. In the mean time we'll enjoy where He has us and hopefully keep you updated much more often.

Now to decide if I should wake this sleeping babe on my chest and take her for a walk through the beautiful outdoors......

  1. Wow...job searching and moving and having a whole lot of "questions" is so tough..I def know. It's hard not to want better circumstances for ourselves...today I was reminded that my destiny has been already picked for me. Sometimes I'm not so sure if I like that or not..at the same time I'm so happy that there is SOMEONE who knows and who is taking care of me. I know the same is true for you guys. Your baby is SOOO precious. And OMG I love Ikea so much...I want too see pictures of the homeiness!
